As women we tend to be dissatisfied with whichever sized boob we have.
If you are one of the lucky ones who are happy with their bust size then good for you, but if you are wanting to change the visual appearance of them here’s how:
Make Big Boobs SMALLER
This usually applies to inverted triangles, rectangles, hourglasses and apples.
However some pears can also have a larger bust despite having a proportionally bigger bottom and hips.
1. Avoid horizontal stripes on top
Bardot tops and high necklines such as boat and crew neck should be avoided as they broaden your chest and shoulders.
Other horizontal details to avoid are slogans which read across your chest, pocket details and horizontal detailing.
2. Opt for v-necks and lower cut necklines
These include; v-necks, scoops necks, wrap and sweetheart style necklines.
3. Wear flared and voluminous bottoms such as a-line skirts, wide legs trousers, flares or bootcut styles
These will automatically balance out the size of your bust and make you appear more balanced. Make sense?
4. Patterns and details such as inverted chevrons or frills will reduce the appearance of a large bust
This could be an all over print or just a single repetition of a pattern.
5. Darker colours on top and bold, bright or light colours on the bottom
This doesn’t have to mean black.
Try teal, burgundy, brown, khaki, berry or navy.
On the bottom, grey, white, pink, green, purple or a light khaki. As long as your top is darker than your bottom half and many women who are inverted triangles or apples with a bigger bust have great legs so SHOW..THEM..OFF!
6. Try a long dangling necklace with a pendant
This will create a vertical v-shaped line down the front of your chest.
This enables even a larger busted woman to wear a high neckline as the necklace works to create a v-neck effect. You can wear one of these over a crew neck top or even over a turtle neck and your bust will automatically feel slimmer.
A collection of long pendant necklaces is a large-busted lady's secret weapon!
7. Try vertically striped tops, coats or blazers
A jacket which sits at the hips or below will also elongate your body which is great for women with short bodies and a large bust who can sometime feel matronly and 'all boob'.
Ensure you go for single-breasted jackets and avoid very wide lapels unless they are vertically striped like the one below.
8. Try raglan sleeved tops, they really slim the shoulders and bust.
A well-fitting bra and good posture is also paramount for a woman with a larger bust so head down to your local Boux Avenue to get an amazing bra fitting and hold yourself taller.
